Pediatric dentists play a crucial role in ensuring the oral health and well-being of children from infancy through adolescence. Through regular check-ups, educational efforts, and personalized care, pediatric dentists contribute significantly to instilling lifelong oral hygiene habits and promoting a lifetime of dental health for their young patients.
My educational journey started at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Subsequently, I pursued my Doctoral of Dental Medicine at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Continuing my specialization, I delved into Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University School of Dental Medicine in Washington, DC, graduating with a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. In 1991, I began practicing in Detroit, MI, simultaneously serving as a faculty member at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, where I taught Pediatric Dentistry.
As a dedicated professional, I am affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the High Point and Randolph County Dental Society.
Beyond dentistry, I find joy in sports, reading, travel, and the pursuit of knowledge. Family is a cornerstone of my life, and I cherish moments spent with my five children and six grandchildren. Actively engaged with my church, I am committed to sharing compassion that truly makes a difference.
