First Visit Information
At our pediatric dental offices in High Point, Lumberton, and Fayetteville, North Carolina, we’re passionate about helping children develop healthy smiles that last a lifetime. Many parents wonder when to schedule their child’s very first dental appointment - and the answer might be sooner than you think! The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child’s first dental visit take place after the first tooth appears or no later than their first birthday.
Starting dental care early sets the stage for a lifetime of healthy habits and happy smiles. During your child’s first visit, our friendly and experienced dentists will gently examine their mouth to ensure everything is developing properly. We’ll also take the time to educate parents on brushing techniques, proper oral hygiene, and nutrition tips that promote strong, cavity-free teeth.
Our goal is to make your child’s first dental visit a positive, comfortable experience - one that helps them feel safe, confident, and even excited about visiting the dentist!
